Ribbonwood

Smith Madden Creative Agency client Ribbonwood is a residential development in Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast. Designed for first-home buyers and "mum and dad" investors, the brand needed to feel approachable and accessible, differentiating leaning into the luxury aesthetic commonly seen in other Sunshine Coast developments.

The branding balances an urban feel with a connection to nature, reflecting Ribbonwood’s central location near the university and its proximity to a nature reserve. The logo and colour palette were designed to be welcoming and contemporary, ensuring broad appeal while maintaining a sense of place.

One of the challenges was creating a brand that felt premium yet attainable. To achieve this, we focused on clean, friendly typography and a nature-inspired colour suite. Establishing a strong visual hierarchy helped maintain clarity and consistency across all materials.

Working alongside the Head Designer, I contributed to the logo development and colour suite, while taking the lead on marketing collateral. I implemented a structured design system to ensure design consistency across various applications, from brochures to digital assets. This approach reinforced Ribbonwood’s identity as an accessible yet thoughtfully designed development.
